Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headset

At last, a high-performance Bluetooth earpiece that's also designed to make you look good. With an elegantly simple VFrame design and a onyx-black, diamond-shaped earpiece, the Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece lets you communicate hands-free with comfort and crystal clear performance.

Comfort and Crisp Sound for Your Ear

The Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headset is designed to follow the contours of your cheek. It features a filtered glass bead that's been blasted and anodized for a ceramic high-gloss elegant finish. The ultra-lightweight design offers a secure comfortable fit so you can stay connected hands-free for hours. And the earpiece includes three uniquely shaped gel eartips--small, medium and large--that are designed to conform snugly to the contours of your ear without the need for an earloop stabilizer, so nothing will interfere with earrings or eyewear.

Once you place the earpiece into your ear, making calls is as simple as it gets. It has a multi-function button on the diamond-shaped face that powers the device, dials or releases calls, triggers voice dialing, or kicks the earpiece into pairing mode. A second button lets you control the volume. For voice clarity, a 1.9-inch boom brings the microphone closer to your mouth to reduce background noise as you talk. The boom mic also houses the earpiece's antenna. And finally, a micro-USB port is located on the side of the earpiece for charging.

AudioIQ Noise Control and On-the-Go Charging

The Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headsets features AudioIQ technology that blocks out annoying background noise in most situations, giving you clear calls every time. The earpiece lets you roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth phone and it supports multipoint technology, which allows two Bluetooth devices to be paired to the earpiece. This means you can receive and make calls from two of your phones without having to switch earpieces.

The Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headset runs on a rechargeable lithium ion battery that gives you up to five hours of talk time and up to seven days of standby time from a single charge. And when the earpiece is not in use, you can store it in its unique color-coordinated case, which performs double duty with its sturdy but stylish construction and its integrated rechargeable battery. Not only will the case protect the earpiece from everyday hazards, but it will also keep your earpiece charged. Simply charge the case directly with the included AC charger or USB cable--with or without the earpiece in place--and when fully charged, it will have enough power provide your earpiece up to five hours of talk time for when you need it.

Of course you can still charge the ear piece directly with the AC charger, but with this convenient recharging case, you don't have to worry about your earpiece running out of power while you're on the go. Just place your earpiece in the case, and safely store it in your handbag or briefcase. When you're ready to use it again, it will be fully charged with enough power for up to five hours of talk time.

The Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headset is measured approximately 2.7 x 1.0 x 0.9 inches is backed by a Plantronics 1-year limited warranty.

"I had a Samsung headset and, after a week, I threw it away. The Nokia BH-700 is great!! I've used it with a Treo 750 and a Blackberry 8830 without problems. The sound quality and fit are perfect. This is the last Blutooth headset I'll ever own. "

"Item is well design and comfortable to wear. It's not that big so the on/off button is difficult to use unless you take it off your ear. The loop that comes with it seems to be sturdy and it is comfortable. I've had this headset for about a month and have not encountered any problems. "

Customer Review

I've had Shure e3c's, lusted after the 4c and 5c models. This isn't a Shure sound. It is however every bit as good as the original ipod ear buds. For me, they are better as they are canal style which means I can block out outside noises. Also the original ipod ear buds do not fit my ears at all.

What I truely love about these, and what makes them different is the cable. The cable is a lanyard style, which means it goes over your head and the buds go up to your ears from behind. This means that even if a bud falls out, they will stay around your head. Also, if you need to pull them out to talk to somone, you can just let them dangle around your neck till you put them back in. Awesome.

Also, the cable is the thickest I've seen of any earbud, and has a braided material around it that serves two purposes. First, they rarely tangle. Second, it is a much better insulator for sound being carried via brushing against the cable.

If you want the best sound out there, there are better choices. If you want very good sound, and a very reasonable cost (I lose earbuds in my travels all the time). Then I highly recommend these.

Customer Review

1. It works! I can hear everyone clearly and they can hear me, even if I am driving. I haven't tried it in the airport yet, but it has worked superbly in all the other environments in which I daily encounter noise including walking around in the city. This is totally opposite my experience with the HS850.

2. It was relatively easy to program to my phone.

3. Although heavier and bulkier than the HS850, it is much more comfortable on my ear and stays in place as I walk. The HS850 tended to dangle and not stay in place.

4. It is easy to answer and hang-up a call with just a press of the button on the side of the headset.

5. Great battery life that last longer than the talk time on my phone.

6. 3 different ear pieces that are each shaped differently are included, so you can get the right fit for you. I found one that fit my ear great and I can hear crystal clear with it.

7. And let me stress again that I have not had anyone complain that they could not hear me and I can hear others as if I have a wired headset. This headset is truly great if you are looking for a device that works with a Blackberry.
