Government Listen to My Call?
Government can listen in with cell phone bugs by performing a cell phone tap. This is similar to a landline tap in that the tap is made from the service provider. This, while not a technically a bug, can result in your conversations being listened to. You probably will not be able to recognize that you are being listened to when a cell phone tap is in effect, or even when most cell phone bugs are being employed against you.
Phone bugs are among the most used spy gadgets. It only makes sense that the use of cell phone bugs is on the rise. Everyone has a cell phone, and they are relatively easy to access using listening devices. Some cell phone bugs are the cell phones themselves. There are a wide variety of bugs that look like cell phones but really act as covert listening devices. And there are even some that work, in varying degrees, like regular cell phones but double as listening devices. If you are looking for the ultimate in listening devices, cell phone bugs are the way to go.
Cell phone bugs include a wide variety of devices. There are cell phones scanners that look like walkie talkies and that allow you to scan cell phone conversations, pulling the signals out of the air. These can also be used in some cases to intercept cordless phone conversations. However, they are difficult to use in order to pinpoint a specific phone. You have to scan the airwaves and hope that you stumble upon the conversation you want to listen to.
Other cell phone bugs look just like regular cell phones. Some of them cannot actually be used, but act as disguises for spy bugs. You leave them in a room and then listen in to what is being said when you are not there. There are some of these phone bugs that have limited use, allowing for some functions but not all. Finally, there are very advanced bugs that allow you to listen in on both sides of the conversation without either party knowing, while performing all of the regular cell phone functions. Additionally, there are phones that you can remotely activate to let you listen in on what is going on around your target, even if the phone is not in use.

Crypto Phone?
What is a Crypto Phone?
CryptoPhones are cellular, desktop or satellite phones that provide security against anyone listening in on your calls. To set up a secure call, both parties need to use a CryptoPhone.
What threats does the CryptoPhone protect against?
CryptoPhone was designed to offer security against anyone who tries to listen into your calls, both inside the telephone network and on the air. The CryptoPhone provides end-to-end security so the call is fully encrypted all the way between the two CryptoPhones.
Today`s complex telephone systems make it impossible to predict what path a phone call takes inside the network. Calls are routinely transported over unencrypted directional microwave radio links that are subject to easy interception with even modest equipment. In order to save costs, calls are frequently routed through networks or operators that might have dubious security standards. Your whole business confidentiality might get compromised by a single corrupt phone company employee. There exists a device known as IMSI-Catcher which allows anyone to listen into mobile phone calls. IMSI-Catchers are readily available on the market and are being used with increasing frequency.
All these threats can be eliminated by using the CryptoPhone

Satelite Phone - Wikipedia
A satellite telephone, satellite phone, or satphone is a mobile phone that communicates directly with orbiting communications satellites. Depending on the architecture of a particular system, coverage may include the entire Earth, or only specific regions.
Satellite phone (Inmarsat)
The mobile equipment, also known as a terminal or earth station, varies widely. A satellite phone handset has a size and weight comparable to that of a late 1980s or early 1990s mobile phone, but usually with a large retractable antenna. These are popular on expeditions into remote areas where terrestrial cellular service is unavailable.
A fixed installation, such as used shipboard, may include large, rugged, rack-mounted electronics, and a steerable microwave antenna on the mast that automatically tracks the overhead satellites.
Satellite phones are usually issued with numbers in a special country calling code. For example, Inmarsat satellite phones are issued with codes +870 through +874, while Iridium satellite phones are issued with codes +881 6 and +881 7. Some satellite phones are issued with ordinary phone numbers, such as Globalstar satellite phones issued with U.S. telephone numbers.
